Fartown School's Annual Publication

The Fartown School website has acquired two copies of "Far Cry" magazine, the annual A5 magazine produced by, and for, Fartown Secondary Modern School in the sixties. These magazines contain forewords by Mr Horace Shaw, the headmaster, and lists of names of both the staff and prefects at the time. There are also essays, poems and drawings done by the pupils of these periods, plus details of school trips, school activities and school sports fixtures.

The "Far Cry" magazines currently held by our webmaster are Volume 1, No. 1 (June 1961) and Volume 1, No. 2 (June 1962).

Philip Proctor kindly loaned us his copy of Far Cry magazine Volume 1, No. 3 (June 1963).
